We want to make Stickybit Licensetracker the best tool in the world for keeping track and control of floating licenses.

The 2.6 series focuses on making your experience of using and managing the flow of information necessary to put licence usage data in the right context as smooth and pleasant as possible.

Company Structure Life Cycle Management

The company structure model has been a huge hit and 2.6.1 provides better tools to facilitate keeping the organisational model up to date as your company structure changes and evolves.

These tools helps you to salvage useful queries reporting on how software assets are utilised across the company even if the departments undergo major reorganisations.

Speedier UI Interaction

The Query result page is where most users spend their time so we have made changes to the user interface to improve visibility and provide quicker access to query manipulation functions.

Saved queries are convenient short hands to get a quick overview by reusing your best reports. As a complement to scheduling of selected queries for distribution 2.6.1 provides web links to any saved query as a reference for your documents and emails.

New Measure: Requested Borrow Time

Compare requested borrowed time to actual length of borrowed sessions to examine if people on the road really ought to have cheaper node locked licenses instead of floating ones that generally comes with a bigger price tag.

Experimental IBM LUM Support

2.6.1 provides experimental functionality supporting IBM LUM License Manager. It currently handles basic usage of concurrent floating licenses but statistics for expirations, borrows and request queues are excempted.

Use this functionality with some caution and make sure to bring us your feedback and requirements for future improvements. It will be mostly appreciated.

Licensetracker 2.5.1 has been released today!

The Licensetracker 2.5.1 release also contains a number of minor web interface improvements and bug fixes.

The Licensetracker 2.5.0 release introduces significant improvents to database deployment and organisationally based reporting:

Automated creation and upgrading of database tables and other artifacts
Microsoft Windows authentication can now be used for authenticating SQL Server 2005 database users

Stickybit solutions participation as a start-up company in the SAME 2009 conference is now published by EE Times.

"Sweden was represented by Stickybit AB, specializing in the development of software and concepts for R&D software licensing management.

Fredrick Rybarczyk, CEO of Stickybit, said the startup company provides consultancy services aimed at system development, system integration and IT architecture.

A key objective, Rybarczyk added, is to constantly improve the company's knowledge of security, TCP/IP and related network protocols, application development, software and hardware methodology, configuration and release management, Java/J2EE.

Stickybit said its Licensetracker tool monitors usage of centrally distributed software licenses, reducing license costs. Customer assessments give an 18 to 22-percent reduction of total R&D software costs during the first two years and further yearly reductions of 2 to 4 percent, Rybarczyk noted.

Based in Malmo, Sweden, Stickybit employs 19 people. In 2008, its revenue amounted to 1.3 million euros ($1.9 million). "

The interest for our monitoring software was very hign and we found several large companies who would like to understand how our software can reduce their license costs.
